In 2019, Davis Grizzard helped form his family’s family office, Sage Hill Investors, where he serves as the President and CEO managing asset allocation. He oversees investments globally in private and public markets as well as real estate. Prior to Sage Hill, he worked for his family businesses, Grain Craft and Summit Hill Foods, in a variety of roles learning the business from the bottom up. Davis serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board for Chattanooga FC. A finance graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Davis enjoys soccer, hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Lisa serves as Sage Hill Investor's CFO, bringing with her more than 40 years of accounting and financeexperience. She is a CPA who after a long career with Ernst & Young spent 7 years as Controller for a private equity firm and several years as a consultant before joining SHI at its inception. Lisa and her husband live in Atlanta and have two grown daughters. She studied ballet for more than 30 years and is an avid pilates practitioner. She also enjoys agility and scent work with her Vizsla, Dexter.
Rostam is responsible for overseeing investments across public and private equities, real estate, and venture capital. Rostam has led over 150 investments across purpose-driven companies and fund managers across the United States, Canada, Europe, India, and Africa. He also leads our philanthropic efforts through World Within, where he invests in projects focused on economic development and human rights work. Rostam enjoys reading and writing poetry inspired by his Iranian heritage (especially the Shahnameh), outdoor adventures, and spending time with family and friends.
Rachel Hanson is the Chief of Staff at Sage Hill Investors, having previously worked as Director of Operations and Community Manager at Lamp Post Group (LPG) and responsible for developing their logistics accelerator, Dynamo. In 2018, Hanson founded Officely, where she worked as Director of Operations and Campaign Manager for Chattanooga City Mayor, Tim Kelly. Hanson became CEO of all Kelly's entities while running Officely, which continues to serve private clients for executive assistance and operations. Hanson holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and Speech from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Hanson is married with two children, Haley and Cole, and she can sing every country song from the 90s.
As part of the investment team, Steven meets with founders and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities. The sectors Steven is most excited about include agriculture, food science, and food systems. He believes that healthy, delicious food should be accessible to everyone. He is also Sage Hill Investors' resident foodie and taste tester for product samples. He enjoys drumming, guitar, freestyling, Dungeons and Dragons, and spending time with family and friends over a wonderful meal in his time outside of the office.
Tina Marx has 20 years of accounting experience and assists Sage Hill’s CFO with the Company’s accounting, financial statements and analytics. Tina earned her master’s in accounting from the University of Illinois and passed the CPA exam before starting her career in public accounting. Tina has experience in investment accounting on both the asset management side from her time at William Blair and the client side from her time at Northwestern Medicine. Tina studied improv in Chicago and now uses those skills to make up stories for her daughters.
Brian Eberhard is the Chief Strategy Officer at Sage Hill Investors. He grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated from Georgia Tech. Since then, he has worked in the manufacturing world for 15 years, with specific expertise in cost analytics, lean manufacturing, and supply chain. His passion in that space has always been around continuous improvement, and his focus at SHI is on portfolio support, bringing his learnings from those larger scale manufacturing operations to the investment world. He is also one who believes that working to better the world and enjoying yourself are not mutually exclusive. Most of his time outside of the office these days is spent enjoying time with his wife and three kids in the Chattanooga area.
